COVID-19 Protocol
We understand that many patients have concerns about the safety and cleanliness of visiting the dentist at this time. At ONE Dental, we have always put the health and safety of our patients and care team first, and we continue to do so each and every day with thorough sterilization protocols, new air purifying systems, stringent adherence to health safety regulations and recommendations, and impeccable attention to detail.
What We’re Doing to Keep You Safe
To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination prevention processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
To reduce the potential for transmission of disease via the presence of virus-carrying aerosols, we have installed air purifiers in every treatment room in addition to installing a generalized air decontamination system throughout our office.
As the health situation and safety recommendations are ever-changing, we keep a close watch on the recommendations and other regulations put forth by the local health department and other agencies to maintain the safety of our office. This includes following all recommendations regarding wearing masks indoors, cleaning high traffic areas, sterilizing high touch surfaces, and minimizing patient numbers in our offices when appropriate.
Should I Continue To Visit the Dentist During the COVID-19 Pandemic?
We are doing everything we can to maintain the cleanliness of our office environment, reduce the possibility of transmission in our office, and create a safe environment for our patients and our staff.
Additionally, maintaining dental care is an excellent way to promote your overall health, keep your body strong, and avoid oral health problems that could weaken your immune system. For this reason, we do not recommend skipping routine dental exams and cleanings.
That being said, whether or not to visit the dentist or frequent other public areas during the pandemic is a decision that each individual must make for themselves based on the advice of their doctors and individual risk factors for developing a serious illness.
Your Safety Is Our Number One Priority
Our patients’ health and safety are always our top priorities at ONE Dental. We welcome you to contact us with any questions you might have about our sterilization protocols and the additional steps we are taking to maintain a safe waiting area and treatment environment for our patients at this time.
Additionally, if there is anything we can do to accommodate you and help you feel safer visiting the dentist at this time (for example, scheduling an early morning appointment or allowing you to check in from your car), we invite you to simply ask when scheduling your next dental appointment.
