FAQs

How often should I have a dental exam and cleaning?

Most healthy adults should visit the dentist for a routine exam and cleaning at least once every six months. Regular professional dental cleanings help to keep your teeth and gums healthy by removing plaque and tartar buildup and preventing more serious problems from developing. Additionally, routine exams ensure we can detect any developing oral health problems in their earliest stages when they are most easily treated and resolved.

Patients who have ongoing oral health issues or are undergoing lengthier treatments might need to visit us more frequently for maintenance cleanings, checkups, and/or treatment monitoring and adjustments.

How does oral health affect general health?

Poor oral hygiene and health not only have the ability to affect the appearance of your smile, but they can also harm the overall health of your body.

Oral health problems such as tooth decay and periodontal disease are associated with higher levels of harmful bacteria. These bacteria can spread to other parts of the body, leading to generalized inflammation. Bacteria is also associated with a whole host of systemic health problems such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Are dental treatments painful?

Dental treatments should never be painful for patients. We use a variety of anesthetics to numb the localized treatment area and ensure our patients do not experience pain or discomfort during their dental treatments and aesthetic services.

How can I improve the look of my smile?

The best way to start improving the look of your smile is by practicing excellent oral hygiene by brushing, flossing, and visiting the dentist for regular cleanings and checkups.

There are also a variety of restorative and cosmetic dentistry treatments available that can help you refresh, restore, and revitalize your smile.

These treatments include options for replacing missing teeth, restoring damaged teeth, whitening and evening the appearance of your smile, and complete smile makeovers that include a variety of treatments like dental veneers, crowns, and more.

What services do you offer in addition to dental care?
